My name is Nevo (pronounced N’voh). I am an Authorised Marriage Celebrant based in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Marriage celebrancy is a deep passion of mine. I do it on the side of my usual work as an author, public speaker and workshop facilitator and I only take on couples who I feel I have an energetic connection with.

This work is really sacred to me - going through the process of planning a wedding is deeply intimate, and I often leave the other side feeling really connected to my couples. To be asked to be a couple’s celebrant is an act of trust and co-creation and I take it very seriously (and with lots of light-hearted silliness). When I stand up there on your wedding day, I want to be someone who grounds you, who reminds you to breathe, to be present and to relish in what may be one of the most significant days of your life.

As a poet, I love getting to the heart of a relationship, hearing about your personal jokes, what your day-to-day looks like and understanding the flavours and textures of your love for one another to craft a story for your ceremony that feels like it comes from someone who has witnessed your relationship for many years.

I’m not so interested in bells & whistles weddings with high-stress and that can sometimes feel impersonal. I want to work on a wedding with you that reflects every aspect of your being and your chosen family. I believe in love as a verb, as a choice, and that a wedding is not the ‘beginning’ of something, but rather the marking of what you have already chosen to build together.
